Drug addict abuses mum again!

Madisebo Ramosele
LAST year Daily Sun told the story of Madisebo Ramosele (52), who was being abused by her eldest son.
In April Madisebo told the People’s Paper how her son Lesego (22) had abused her.
At the time she was happy that Lesego had been to rehab and that he had seemingly recovered from his nyaope habit.
But now, eight months later, her nightmare has started all over again and it is worse than ever. Not only does he abuse her verbally but he also beats her up.
Madisebo -  a single mother and teacher who comes from Kagiso, west of Joburg, said she is worried that Lesego might influence his younger brother Mpho (17) to take drugs too.
“I discovered that Mpho has started smoking glue. I don’t know what to do,” said Madisebo.
She believes the fact that her boys do not have a father figure in their lives adds to the problem.
“They need a father. When I speak to them it is as if I am the enemy.
“Lesego is good at sports. I believe if he goes to a facility that works with his skills, it would help him a lot,” she said.
Madisebo is too scared to go home on Fridays because that is when the abuse is at its worst.
“I have a restraining order against him, but if I go to the police he will end up on the streets,” she said.
Madisebo is a breast cancer survivor. She has been in and out of homes since 2005. She admitted toDaily Sun that she needs help.
Most of her money has been wasted on paying
for rehab centres and facilities for her son.
The Social development spokesman, Sello Mokoena, said that the department would send a social worker to assess the situation.
“Lesego could be sent to a government subsidised rehabilitation centre.
“The department will be in contact with the family,’’ he said.
