I’m Also a Billionaire! - Pastor Paul Adefarasin Challenges Forbes’ List of Five Richest Nigerian Pastors

Two weeks ago, Forbes released a list detailing Five Richest Nigerian pastors. Since then, the list has become the centre of media discussion, social media not exempted. Just when we were on the cusp of letting the story go, we read – yet again on Forbes – that one of Nigeria’s famous pastors, Paul Adefarasin, was pretty much upset that his name wasn’t included in the list. He was so upset, apparently, that he aired his grievances in church.

The founder and head pastor of House on the Rock Church ( a church that preaches financial prosperity consistently and recurrently) is a rich man. No one can dispute that, and he made sure no one would when he spoke at the 5-star Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos where he held his last Service.

“I am a billionaire and there is nothing anybody can do about it,” Forbes quotes him as saying. “I have coached many billionaires and you know, the pastor of billionaires is a billionaire. The preacher of a billionaire can only be a billionaire because a monkey cannot give birth to a goat and a goat cannot follow a baboon.”
