The La Tante DC10 restaurant in Accra, Ghana capital, can serve up to 118 people and is proving to be a hit with locals who have never set foot on a plane.
An aircraft turned restaurant in Ghana is proving to be a flying success.
The La Tante DC10 restaurant in the capital Accra serves traditional food to up to 118 people.
The country's airline, Ghana Airways, went bankrupt in 2005 and left the plane impounded at London's Heathrow.
But the aircraft has been brought back home, and under it's new guise is doing a roaring trade.
Restaurant manager Indira Shiyam told the BBC: "Attendance is very impressive.
At first, people wanted to have a feel of a restaurant in a plane but surprisingly they keep coming."
Many locals get their first taste of what it's like to travel on an aeroplane, with several never having flown before.
The tail fin is painted in the Ghanaian flag, and is known as the Green Plane locally.
