PHOTO: The Sponsor Of The Anti-Gay Bill In Nigeria

Sen.Domingo Obende,  representing Edo North Senatorial District in Edo State is credited for sponsoring the anti-gay marriage bill which was recently signed into law by President Jonathan.
Obende has sponsored and co-sponsored at least 14 bills in the last two years including the controversial same sex marriage prohibition bill and has attracted at least 54 projects across the six local government councils that make up Edo North.
Obende has served in the Senate since April, 2011.
Sen. Obende is a native of Igarra in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area in Edo State Nigeria. He is married to Deaconess Oluremi Basirat Domingo and they are blessed with children.
Among accolades to his credit include the 2005 Leadership Merit award by African Entrepreneurship and leadership, Award of recognition by the University of Benin, Honorary fellowship Award of the institute of corporate affairs and management, Merit award by the Otaru of auchi and the Ambassador for peace award by global peace festival foundation.
