In a bid to heed to the advice of Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi,Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo has successfully completed a loan move to championship side Middlesbrough until the end of the season.

Keshi last week warned Omeruo that he risked not being on the plane to Brazil if he wasn't getting playing time at Chelsea.

Omeruo was yet to make an appearance for Chelsea, but was training with the first team squad on the insistence of Jose Mourinho.

"Kenneth is a strong defender and I think we need to improve in this area," said Middlesbrough coach Aitor Karanka.

"I know him José (Mourinho) and has told me about him and I think he's going to be very good for us to add to the squad."

Omeruo alongside Rizespor defender Godfrey Oboabona seems to be the preferred choice in Super Eagles' central defence by Stephen Keshi.
